Another fantastic week of Super League action as the trade deadline has passed and the teams are now solidified. The league took another crazy turn this week as some playoff teams appear to be nosediving and potentially running towards the exit while others are taking a leap of faith and going for it all. The overall landscape of the league did not change too much this week but there may be a fantastic finish for final playoff seeding. Let’s dive into the week that was.
Editor’s Note: I am going to do something I usually do not do. I am going to pre-write this entire blog on Monday, 11/20 and then I will go back in tomorrow and make edits (edits will be in red) if I end up getting stunned by the way MNF goes tonight. Every matchup APPEARS to be over, but this is fantasy and 9 out of 10 teams have someone playing tonight so I easily could be wrong.
Week 11 Recap
Violently Boring

TVB once again bored the shit out of everyone and put on a clinic against the lowly TCs. They made an odd change at QB once again but lucky for them it was 1. Against the TCs and 2. Dak didn’t have to do much against the Panthers. The Trans Cigs chose to bench Jahmyr Gibbs due to a disciplinary violation. Reports out of the TC Camp point to Gibbs likely being shut down for the season as their internal investigation carries on. Will Levi’s struggled to do much while Antonio Gibson was injured before the game. Shockingly, Gibson wasn’t the worst performer on the team as Gabe Davis was able to muster up a 0 pt stat line despite actually playing in a game. The TCs are in full blown tank mode and seem to not give a fuck about who is out there for them as long as they are not scoring points. TVB got their typical WR explosion to carry the load for them this week as Hill and Adams put up a smooth 52.8 points early on during Sunday’s 1pm slot. I doubt there are too many concerns from the TVB camp about Diggs’ uncharacteristic performance but that’s now two straight weeks with less than double digit points. Overall, this game fucking stunk, and it was always going to stink. Unfortunately for TVB, this wasn’t their only Week 11 matchup… And it turns out they would also finally fall victim to the median!
Obscure Running Backs, UNITE!

Well well well. The Spicy Boys came into this matchup riding an 0-10 matchup record and likely hoped to keep that going. Unfortunately for both them and Nine Inch Males, they exploded for 150+ points and behind some very obscure producers. Rachaad White, Brian Robinson, David Montgomery and FUCKING DEVIN SINGLETARY exploded for a combined 89.47 points (avg. of 22.37 pts per RB). This explosion was enough for them to not only get their first matchup win, but ANOTHER median win improving their median record to 4-7. Now let’s not get carried away as the Spicy Boys are still very much out of the playoff picture and looking towards the future, but this was a showing that has to give them some confidence for the future. Their WR group is thin but with Kyler & TLaw as well as some young hidden gem RBs, they may be okay. On the other side of this matchup, NIM have been punched directly in the face. There was a lot of discussion around the league regarding NIM and if they were really built to compete this year. After this loss, they couldn’t be feeling good, and they immediately move on from Keenan Allen following the devastation that took place. Cooper Kupp is injured again, Derrick Henry and the Titans fucking suck and being forced to play Jerry Jeudy is never a scenario you want to find yourself. NIM will still be a tough out in the playoffs due to Mahomes and Jefferson (if and when he returns), but this season has to feel gone at this point. RIP to what was a HELL of a run.
Standing Tall After All

TPSK came into the week following an extremely competitive Week 10 matchup against their foes in Trans Cigs. When you’re buried at the bottom of the table, there’s not much to get excited about but Mata was able to rally the boys and get them to show out big time in Week 11 against their fellow bottom feeder, Choking the Belichicken. Despite an early injury to Aaron Jones, TPSK were able to get some solid production from Joe Mixon, DK Metcalf and even Romeo Doubs. Normally, TPSK would be gutted about getting a win when they’re trying to tank but they don’t even own their first-round pick so fucking over the TCs by winning doesn’t faze them at all. CTB struggled this week with some poor performances from their WR group as well as Josh Jacobs poor outing against the Dolphins. George Kittle had another great game though, so I guess that’s good. Oh yeah, Christian Watson finally fucking scored! And Justin Fields kind of looked good! See these are all positives. Positive vibes only. I can’t pretend to write anymore regarding this game. Maybe something will happen on Monday Night, and I can add more but at the moment I am out of ideas to discuss this matchup any further. Their Monday Night performance was also enough to secure a coveted median win!
Just Burrow Yourself In A Hole

After slipping into the 6 spot and struggling mightily last week, ZYN Dynasty got back on track with a dominant performance over their playoff rivals in the Funkles. ZYN was able to get some serious production from Josh Allen and Calvin Ridley. Ridley’s resurgent performance could be a huge help for the Zynners as we inch closer to the playoffs. They were also able to get some solid production from Mostert but that leads us into our next item on this game. Achane returned this week and was expected to carry a significant workload. Unfortunately, he was knocked out of the game after only a few snaps. Early reports say it’s the same knee, but McDaniel downplayed it a bit after the game. However, a recent report quoted McDaniel as saying “There’s a chance that he will [play] and he won’t [play]… I definitely would not rule him out, but would definitely not rule him in, either”. Mike, I would very much like to know where you get your weed from because that shit has to be HITTING. Achane’s injury was not the only one to take place this week as the Funkles have also lost their starting QB for the remainder of the season. Can Josh Dobbs carry the torch and keep the Funkles‘ hopes alive and well? We shall see. 3 catches for 48 yards.
IR? IReally Don’t Care

The final matchup of Week 11 saw The Bitchin’ Batgirls take on their rival in the Sad Dads. The Sad Dads were always facing an uphill battle in this one as they were without both JT and Bijan Robinson. Unfortunately, they were always going to have a tough time regardless of who they were playing and as the Batgirls exploded for 179 points behind a relatively balanced effort. Only two of their players scored under double digit points and both of those players got injured. TBB injury devastation began on Thursday night as Mark Andrews’ season was ended and then on Sunday, KWIII went out with an oblique injury. Lucky for them, they have a plan in place for both of these losses and they are no longer worried about! Trey McBride time baby. Sad Dads must have been happy to see Justin ‘Kirk Cousins’ Herbert put up 30 points while doing nothing when his team needed him most. Garrett Wilson’s negative point total definitely stunned the Dads and showed them that this was never going to be an easy week. Jaylen Warren continues to look very good and Hockenson’s production staying consistent without Kirk are definitely positive signs. It’s a tough loss for the Sad Dads but they have been able to build a very good record up until this point so it will take a large shift in order for them to lose that first round bye.

The 2023 Zyn Cup – Final Recap

I fucking called it. I fucking called it!! There were naysayers, doubters and losers alike who said that this was never going to happen, but they were fucking wrong! In maybe the greatest moment in Super League history, The Spicy Boys knocked off the juggernaut that is The Violent Beauregardes in the 2023 Zyn Cup Final. It was a storybook ending the Boys as they faced off against TVB for the 3rd time with a trophy on the line. It took fucking guts to be able to pull this one off and they fucking did it. They are now forever etched in Super League history as the FIRST EVER Zyn Cup holder. I couldn’t be any happier for the boys and my sincerest congratulations for being named the 2023 Zyn Cup Champions.
That officially wraps up the 2023 Zyn Cup. I think that was fucking fun and it is only going to get better.

Week 12 Preview & Picks
#10 Trans Cigs vs. #3 The Bitchin’ Batgirls
Very mean matchup. TBB should be able to win.
#6 The Funky Uncles vs. #9 Choking the Belichicken
The Funkles desperately need a result and are hoping that Dobbs can lead the way. They should be able to handle it but it’s going to be a tight one. Funkles in a nailbiter.
#7 The Portuguese Short Kings vs. #1 The Violent Beauregardes
TVB need a revenge game against TPSK as they stole their median win in Week 11. TVB get back to double winning ways.
#8 The Spicy Boys vs. #5 ZYN Dynasty
Coming off an incredible week which included two wins and a Zyn Cup for their trophy case, the Spicy Boys are not going to be able to keep that hot streak going. ZYN Dynasty grab a win from the Zyn Cup Holders.
GAME OF THE WEEK: #2 Sad Dads vs. #4 Nine Inch Males
A massive game as the Sad Dads have the Batgirls on their tale. NIM’s deadline day moves showed signs of throwing in the towel but their depth is more than enough to carry them through a postseason run. If Jefferson is able to suit up, they can most definitely hang with one of the better teams in the league. NIM in a massive upset that shakes up the playoff picture.
An amazing week once again in the Super League. We are down to the final 3 weeks as the playoff seeding race heats up after Week 11’s results. Next week’s blog may be delayed as I will be across the pond catching a few football matches. UP THE FUCKIN’ REDS ON SUNDAY!
Sincerely AND With Love,
Your Beloved Commissioner
