Trade Deadline Week. Wow. I can’t believe we are already here. The league has taken a vastly different turn this year. This time last year, there were still a shit ton of teams in the playoff race. No one had even clinched a playoff spot. Now we have two teams who have clinched playoff spots. What a difference a year makes. We are down to the nitty gritty and there is still some shakeups that could happen. I thought the league being so top heavy would kill the fun but to be honest, there is still a wide-open race for playoff seeding. Let’s dive into what ended up being a relatively high scoring week – Week 10 had three teams move into the Top 10 of highest weekly scores.
Week 10 Recap
Someone Had to Win This One – Part III

An unintentional weekly event has taken place as once again two teams faced off in a battle of who wanted to win less. This ended up being a very funny fuckin’ matchup on Monday Night as the TCs had three players slated to play. They were hopeful that the three guys they trotted out there would get the hint, but it turns out they didn’t. Latavius Murray and Courtland Sutton put in solid performances and unfortunately for the TCs, it gave them the edge over TPSK. The one positive to take from the game for the TCs is the fact that they own TPSK’s first so if there was a team they shouldn’t mind beating, it’s them. TPSK got some solid output from their backup QB in Jared Goff and continue to see their young star shine in Dalton Kincaid. I am still of the belief that in the long run they will be okay, but this year is just not for them. TPSK Governor, Nick “Jokester” Mata, has a very funny view on the whole tanking situation. He seems to want to tank but doesn’t like losing so he is not exactly sure how to handle the chronic losing that tanking requires. Fuckin’ love both of these teams. Great work gentlemen and thanks for giving Super League Nation a show!
Makin’ It Rayne

Another week, another boring game. TVB came into Week 10 without their top two performers in Tyreek Hill and AJ Brown. For most teams, this would have left a massive hole in their lineup and would have potentially ended the median win streak. But they didn’t miss a fucking beat as they erupted for 175 points behind another strong performance from Dak Prescott. Questions were asked about their QB carousel earlier in the year, but it appears that they have found their stride with Dak as QB. He had struggled to keep the job earlier in the year but has clearly cemented himself as the team’s QB1 as the season moves on. Rhamondre Stevenson’s slow climb has also been a welcoming sign for TVB. They are still very much a wagon and they have become incredibly fucking boring to talk about. Let’s talk about the funnest team in the fucking league, The Spicy Boys. I have sung their praises all year and once again, they came to play. Even with Trevor Lawrence’s abysmal performance, the boys were able to get their third median win of the year. They are 0-10 in matchups, but they’ve been able to grab 3 median wins. That is fucking bonkers to me. The key pieces this week for the Spicy Boys were Rachaad White, Brian Robinson, David Montgomery and… wait… what the fuck? Devin Singletary? How the fuck? Singletary was the team’s leading point getter putting up a whopping 30.60 behind 30 carries for 150 yards. Move over Dameon Pierce (he blows), Devin Singletary has fucking arrived. We get to see these two face off (sort of) again next week. Should be a treat.
Figure It The Fuck Out Lamar

TBB came into this game feeling a bit down. They were humbled in Week 9 by the Funkles and had fallen into a deep depression. However, in Week 10, they showed the fuck out. TBB‘s monster week was highlighted once again by CeeDee & ArSB’s performances. The stud WR duo managed to grab 70 of TBB’s 179 points. The RB room was not as great as it usually is, but they were lucky to only have one scorer in single digits as Mark Andrews struggled to do much on Sunday. And that brings me to the next point, Lamar Jackson. What the fuck are you doing my guy? Figure it the fuck out because the Batgirls fucking need you. Lamar’s rushing ability always gives him a very comfortable floor but what if this was the championship? You would have lost you fucking loser. Stop throwing interceptions and start throwing more touchdowns to Mark Andrews. It’s pretty fucking simple. Anyway. CTB put in valiant effort despite losing their superstar QB to injury. George Kittle also did classic George Kittle shit and exploded for 20 points. Can’t wait for his 1-point output next week. Pretty boring game that was never really close.
Keenan Allen Is Still Healthy?

NIM elected to start violently underperforming rookie Bryce Young this week as they had to deal with Mahomes’ bye week. Lucky for them, ZYN Dynasty had no idea they even had a game. This was one of the worst matchups of the week as both of these teams wildly underperformed. NIM, however, were able to snatch the two wins behind Keenan Allen’s 40-point explosion. Coming into Monday Night, the matchup win was likely always secured but there had to be some concern in the NIM Front Office as James Cook once again fumbled the ball. That guy has the slickest fucking hands in the league. Cook then sat out a few drives but came back with a vengeance and was able to muster 13 points. His YPC is shockingly impressive, but his lack of TD scoring coupled with the fact that he literally can’t hold onto the ball to save his life, makes him a less than sexy RB2. ZYN Dynasty has to be beside themselves as they are slowly crumbling. Josh Allen has been a fucking turnover machine this year and their backup TE getting 0 points was not helpful. They are slowly but surely falling to where I had them ranked in the preseason. Like I said, good but NOT great.
Rock Hard Hock

The Battle of Brothers delivered a blowout result as the Sad Dads routed the Funkles by almost 70 points. Justin Herbert’s 4 TD game and TJ Hockenson’s electric performance made this a walk in the park for the Sad Dads. Javonte Williams’ revival continued as well as he racked up a smooth 26.25 points on MNF. The Funkles on the other hand had a tough week. They once again trotted out their two TE look, but it did not yield the same results as the previous week. In all fairness they were missing Swift, Waddle and Tutu Atwell but they were not very good this week. Mattison’s injury did not help the cause as he had actually been having a productive game up until the injury. Christian Kirk’s 13.4 points is also not the output you’re trying to see for a guy you got by giving up Justin Jefferson. But as the old saying goes, “CMC & Kirk is always greater than CD Lamb & KWIII”. Great move!
2023-2024 Post-Week 10 Power Rankings
- The Violent Beauregardes (18-2) [-]: Don’t care.
- Sad Dads (17-3) [-]: Don’t care.
- The Bitchin Batgirls (13-7) [UP 3]: They are so back….
- Nine Inch Males (13-7) [UP 1]: A grind of a win sees them move up and JJeff is very close to returning… Could they make a run?
- The Funky Uncles (12-8) [DN 1]: The Funkles fall back to reality a bit as they got crushed and barely made it out without a $5 loser fine. Is Achane enough to push them over the line?
- ZYN Dynasty (10-10) [DN 3]: They’re falling apart at the seams…
2023-2024 Post-Week 10 Sour Rankings
- Choking the Belichicken (5-15) [UP 1]: The 2nd highest scoring team of the bad teams! Great job!
- The Portuguese Short Kings (4-16) [DN 1]: The battle of the bad teams was too much for them and they slip a bit this week.
- Spicy Boys (3-17) [UP 1]: 0-10 in matchups, 3-7 against the median… they’re frisky.
- Transgender Cigs (5-15) [DN 1]: Trans Cigs suck at tanking and win again… they almost got a median win too..
The 2023 Zyn Cup – Sem-Final Recap & Final Preview

SEMI-FINAL RECAP
The Violent Beauregardes vs. ZYN Dynasty: TVB were welcomed into the Zyn Cup this week and to no one’s surprise they eviscerated the competition. Questions about their chances with Hill, Brown & Pacheco on byes were very quickly answered as they manhandled ZYN Dynasty behind Dakota’s explosion against the Giants. They are on to the final and even though I kind of fucked this format, they are more than deserving of their finals’ appearance.
The Funky Uncles vs. Spicy Boys: The Funkles got a very favorable draw playing against the lowly Spicy Boys. But, there is something different about the Spicy Boys when they are in prime time and they once again showed the fuck out. A whopping 140 points sees them brush off the Funkles and set up a rematch of last year’s Super League Cup Final Championship Super Bowl.
ZYN CUP FINAL PREVIEW

What a story. I would have loved to include a ‘How They Got Here’ portion but unfortunately my dumb brain thought it was a good idea to give them both a bye to the semi-finals. Have no fear, I will cover the fix for that in the next portion of the blog. Well, another David vs. Goliath matchup. The Spicy Boys vs. TVB series has been heavily in favor of TVB as they are 4-0 all-time. This is their third meeting this year and their third title matchup overall. These two seem to only get together in the biggest of moments. I want a storybook ending for the ZYN Cup in the worst way, so you know what, fuck it. Spicy Boys in an absolute stunning, thrilling final take the inaugural ZYN Cup.
ANNOUCEMENT: 2024 ZYN Cup Format Change
It is with great pride that I announce a few changes for next year’s ZYN Cup. I think this is a fun little addition to the league and I have no plans of getting rid of it. Christ, the NBA literally copied us because of how genius it was! Anyway, next year the ZYN Cup will still run through the same weeks as this year (Weeks 7 through 11) but there are a few substantial changes. Teams will be broken into three pots.
| POT 1 | POT 2 | POT 3 |
|---|---|---|
| 7th Place | 3rd Place | Champion |
| 8th Place | 4th Place | Regular Season Champion OR 2nd Place |
| 9th Place | 5th Place | |
| 10th Place | 6th Place |
Week 7 – Qualifying Round: Pot 1 Teams face off
Week 8 – Quarterfinals: Week 7 Winners face off with Pot 3 Teams; Pot 2 Teams face off
Weeks 9 & 10 – Semi-Finals: Pots become irrelevant. Random draw to determine the two-leg semi-finals
Week 11 – Final: Same thing as this year.
So, as you can see the big changes are the two-leg semi-finals and the elimination of the monster byes which was a massive fuck-up on my part. My bad on that. Also, the prize money will be upped to $70 which is the amount of money the league will generate from the weekly loser fine.

STRENGTH OF SCHEDULE STATS – PLAYOFF TEAMS
Obviously TVB are a wagon, and they can’t play against themselves, but their schedule was really fucking weak. I will be initiating a new schedule next year similar to the NFL. Top 5 get the hardest schedule while bottom 5 get the easier schedule. I will not randomize and be lazy like I did this year. That being said, Pat would have been a wagon regardless of who he played. He’s fucking 10-0 against the median…

Week 11 Preview & Picks
#10 Trans Cigs vs. #1 The Violent Beauregardes
Very mean matchup. TVB should be able to win.
#4 Nine Inch Males vs. #9 Spicy Boys
Spicy Boys have been very frisky this year, but NIM are rounding into form. NIM in one that is closer than it looks on paper.
#8 The Portuguese Short Kings vs. #7 Choking the Belichicken
Arguably the worst matchup but it should be fun at least. Lou is DECIMATED with byes. TPSK win and give the TCs a heart attack.
#5 The Funky Uncles vs. #6 ZYN Dynasty
Two playoff hopefuls face off in the first of our TWO playoff team matchups this week. ZYN Dynasty are coming off a disastrous week while the Funkles didn’t have too much fun themselves. Both teams desperately need the result. ZYN Dynasty are just too much for the Funkles though.
GAME OF THE WEEK: #2 Sad Dads vs. #3 The Bitchin’ Batgirls
A rivalry that has been highlighted by trades in which either one of them gets fleeced and a chronic need to sell the other their deadweight. The all-time series is in favor of the Sad Dads by 1 game. The Sad Dads will be without JT, Bijan and another domestic abuser on their team in Zay Jones. The Sad Dads have done a fantastic job of acquiring Commissioner’s Exempt List players. Not sure they know that’s not a good list to be on. TBB take this one in a potential playoff preview.
We’re getting to the end boys, and it makes me both happy and sad. 4 more weeks of the regular season left. 7 more weeks of fantasy as a whole. 7 weeks is such a short amount of time it’s going to be over so soon, and I am going to be in shambles. I can’t wait to do 50 mock drafts and start talking rookies in the spring. I love you all.
TRADE DEADLINE TIME BABY!

Sincerely AND With Love,
Your Beloved Commissioner
